It is common to hear people talking about work-life balance and complain that their work is too stressful. Such a message is mostly coming from people who are currently at work.
I remember an article from Mr. Lee Hok Yu that mentioned what you think is most important?
- A wealthy man who is very ill will answer – health
- A healthy poor man will answer – money
- A breadwinner who is hungry for a job will respond – employment
These examples tell us that there is no standard answer for everyone. We are all different, and our stress level, needs, expectation, resilience level at different ages and life cycles are all varied.
With the COVID pandemic, most of us are working from home. Some people highly appreciate such an arrangement as they perform highly productively and efficiently, but others mention it is very stressful, leading to mental concern if such structure continues.
In summary, we respect the dynamic environment and embrace the difference amongst people.
